Assapro is a media & marketing communication strategist, editor and researcher driven by enthusiasm for discovery and a passion for communication approaches that promote changes in knowledge, attitudes, norms, beliefs and behaviors.

Assapro Aaron is a strategic communicator, editor and researcher driven by enthusiasm for discovery and a passion for communication approaches that promote changes in knowledge, attitudes, norms, beliefs and behaviors. His research experience includes public health and health promotion, training and education in conflict resolution, as well as on‐the‐ground’ field work including data collection and all-important community engagements to ensure a research project is appropriate, acceptable and valuable to participating individuals and communities.

Among the retinue of projects, he has participated in are both local and multinational research projects across the country as follows:

  • Project Assistant, “Design of Behaviour Change Communication through Radio and Television programmes for the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Programme (RWSSP), in Yobe and Osun States”, an African Development Bank funded FGN intervention (Logicomm Network)
  • Research Assistant, “Creative Consultant & Mentor, UNESCO-ALGoodman Behaviour Change Communication: The Realities of HIV/AIDS Community Theatre Project”. North Central”.
  • Project manager, “Participatory Communication and Improved Uptake of Antenatal Health Care in Karu community, Nasarawa State (on-going)
  • Researcher, “Mobile Telephony and Increase in Rural Health Care Services in Kaduna State”, (2017).
  • Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA) sponsored project in Adamawa state, North East Nigeria (January – July, 2019).
  • He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Nigeria Nsukka, a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the Institute of Journalism Studies and a Certificate of Achievement for COMM411: Public Relations and has attended numerous workshops and seminars in principles and methods of communication and social science research amongst others.
  • He hails from Numan Local Government Area of Adamawa state, North East Nigeria where he had lived for many years and has sufficient knowledge of the region, people and language widely spoken (Hausa).
